Senior Legal Counsel
- Broad and varied in-house role across commercial, corporate and strategic matters
- Report directly to the General Counsel & Company Secretary
- 12-month fixed term contract with flexible working, remote options & 0.8 FTE considered
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced commercial lawyer to join a respected organisation in a senior in-house role offering significant variety, responsibility and strategic involvement.
About the role
Our client is looking for an accomplished Senior Legal Counsel to provide extra resource to their General Counsel & Company Secretary as together you will be a dynamic and high performing team of two. You will provide commercially pragmatic legal advice across a broad range of business-critical matters. The role is based centrally, with flexible working arrangements available, including hybrid and remote working options for the right candidate.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will advise on commercial contracts, corporate transactions, dispute management, property projects, privacy and regulatory compliance matters.
This is a true business partnering role where you will work closely with operational and leadership teams, helping to manage risk, support strategic initiatives and deliver practical legal solutions that enable commercial success. You will also liaise with external counsel and contribute to governance, training and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
The organisation recognises that experienced lawyers are seeking greater flexibility in how they work and will consider part-time arrangements (0.8 FTE or similar) as well as flexible and remote working options.
This 12-month fixed term contract position is an excellent opportunity for a senior lawyer seeking a broad in-house role with meaningful stakeholder engagement, high-quality work and the chance to make a tangible impact on business outcomes.
